Teachers and Performers Sign-up Instructions:
Interested in teaching a workshop, offering a presentation, leading a ritual, dancing, playing music, or offering some other sort of amazing thing at Denver Pagan Pride Day? Please read the information below, then send a detailed description of what you would like to offer to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Presentations and rituals will be on a 30 minute timeframe. Performances may go a little longer, so let us know in your description how long of a timeslot you need. Please include as much information in your email as you can. A brief outline of what you have in mind is helpful, as is a brief bio of who you are and what you do.
Experience with public speaking and teaching is not required. However, we DO request that you have experience with the subject matter you are asking to present. We will have two workshop/presentation areas– one which is very large, and one which is very small. If you’re new to this or unsure about your nerves when it comes to speaking in front of large groups, please request the smaller workshop area when you submit your idea for consideration.
Please note also that our workshops and presentations are open to everyone, and should therefore be age-appropriate and non-discriminatory. Discrimination is not welcome at our event.
Submissions will be evaluated by Denver Pagan Pride and chosen to create a program schedule with maximum merit, diversity, and broad appeal. Our presentation and performance slots are very limited, so submit your idea early for top consideration.
Successful presenter and performer applicants will be notified as they are selected, and no later than September 1st. If you do not receive a confirmation from us by September 1st, your presentation or performance was not selected, and we urge you to try again next year.
We are unable to pay performers and presenters, but you will be acknowledged in our printed event guide and on our website.
